In December of 2009 right before New Years Eve,
mom and dad noticed that my neck was swollen. They thought I had dog
mumps (they called it dumps) so mom took me to the vet right after
the first of the year. The vet told us that they thought I had
Canine Lymphoma! We were all devastated. When someone mentions any
kind of cancer, everyone thinks the worse. The vet told them that
untreated, I only had about 6 weeks to live! They took me to an
oncologist who confirmed that it was Lymphoma but we found out it
wasn't quite as bad as it sounds. It turns out that Lymphoma is the
most common form of cancer in dogs but it's also the most treatable.
So, we talked about a treatment plan. They put me on a plan called
The University of Wisconsin Madison Treatment plan. It involves weekly treatments for
many weeks. The good news is that finally, the last swollen lymph is
going down! The bad news is that it costs a lot of money. Mom and
dad have spent close to $5000 so far and we're not done. I thought I
would try to help by putting up this page.
Any donations would be
greatly appreciated.Thank You!
